The Undercover Nerd
Riley for example, is the main character who disguises herself as a nerd, making sure she doesn’t get discovered. Yet at night she roams Chicago, taking out the bad guys. Such as Elliot, the antagonist in the story. He plays a main role in her discovery, and other things. She even has a name for herself when she's on the streets at night. Which is ‘Razor’ who’s never been caught, and can beat anyone. There’s more to ‘Razor’ then meets the eye. Especially, when bad things occur in Riley’s life. Then as the story continues things get risky.
Ever Since her dad died seven months ago, Riley's changed. In her life so far, her mother outright ignored her, and left Riley to fend for herself. Though, Riley said before “ ‘I never needed her.’ ” she was fine without her mom. However, her mom was revealed to be having an affair to her boyfriend a month before Riley’s dad died, and that her mom was pregnant. Not to mention, “It wasn’t even her boyfriends baby, she just slept with a random guy” Anyways, Riley ended up kicking her out, and began living on her own. As the story continued, Luke, a jock, and known delinquent became interested in the “the quiet shy nerdy” Riley. This heightens as they are put in a partner assignment. This also includes when, ‘Razor’ saves Luke and his friends, from the antagonist, Elliot. Well, as you can tell, Riley could be anyone she wanted to be.
As, Riley, has said before, “ “Others see nerds as quiet and pathetic. However, I am, not your average nerd.’ “ The story begins to climax farther, when the antagonist, Elliot, finds out Razors true identity. This reminds me of all kinds of stories combined, such as ‘The Bad Boys Good Girl’ including the romance that starts between, Luke, and Riley. The hardcore truth is, not everyone is what they seem.
